Improve Your Business by Reconnecting with Your Life

I knew about WorkExcellence as a work improvement tool, but I always thought of it as something separate from daily life. I imagined that once I was finished with work and closed my laptop that somehow my family life was unaffected by what I did 9-5. But Brian Cain and Steve Gran make the case that we're all people, even when we're at work. So you have to nurture both halves of your life if you want to excel at what you do. It was a refreshing observation, and I would recommend that everyone read this book to better understand the work-life dynamic.

There are principles that we "should" know that are timeless. The author nailed it when discussing alignment and getting on the same page. Having been out of balance for most of my working career, it was refreshing to unpack the reasons and meanings behind it. Great book. Highly recommend!

This was an easy to read book, and I really enjoyed how they helped me reconnect with my own self and how by taking the time to do that it will help me improve my business!! I really liked the part about self-care and so I have began walking every morning at 5 AM for an hour. It gives me time to reflect on what's important, not only in my life, but in my business.
